Office Whitening In this you will have to report to the dental office and be prepared to spend upto one and half hours on the dental chair. Your teeth will be cleaned thoroughly prior to the actual procedure and then a special whitening material will be applied to the teeth which have to be lightened. Special care will be taken to isolate these teeth from the rest of the mouth so that the material only lightens the areas required. This material may be activated with special lights or laser lights for faster efficacy. You just have to sit back and relax for the specified time which may be 20 minutes to and hour depending upon your case and then the teeth will be washed off and you can immediately observe some improvement. This will gradually improve over the next two days. Occasionally one may require to repeat the procedure after a week or so.
