Hence a pure “Red” ball would absorb light radiation from 400-699 nm. The “Red” ball is reflecting all the energy or waves of wavelength 700 nm. If this ball were to suddenly even start reflecting the other 400-699 nm waves it would essentially become a “White” ball. The color white is the property of any object to reflect all the radiation of the entire spectrum of visible light energy or waves. On the other hand if the ball suddenly starts absorbing all the light energy then it would appear “Black” to us. The color “Black” represents the property of an object to absorb the entire radiation energy that lies from 400 to 700 nm. The seven colors of the rainbow are 300 different monochromatic colors grouped together into seven sets as we see them in a natural rainbow.
